Eugene S. Thorpe Writing Competition

First heard about this competition last year. It is open to writers around the world of any age, and profession. As long as you or someone in your immediate family isn't employed by FEE then you are eligible.

The topic for this year is as follows:

The conventional wisdom says the 1999-2006 residential real estate “bubble” in the U.S. and the subsequent collapse of global financial markets were caused by a failure of the free market. What’s wrong with that assertion?
